Hamstring injury has been considered one of the most common exercise-induced injuries in sports. mostly occur proximal to biceps femoris. However, reasons and mechanisms remain unclear. To summarize hamstring morphological structure features what relationship is between their risk from current literature, this review discussed possible mechanism hamstrings, connected pattern diversity, mechanical properties, stress–strain performance, probable changes action control.
